QuestSpecialty in Brenham, Texas is growing and looking for a dynamic, diversified and experienced HR Director to help lead the organization to success and growth! Qualified applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field, a minimum of 5 years’ HR management experience – and strongly prefer experience in the manufacturing industry.
This is a salary, on-site, full-time, exempt position with salary commensurate with experience – DOE.

Essential duties and core competencies will include talent recruitment and retention, overseeing the onboarding process and employee training, benefit administration, policies and procedures, performance management, EEOC reporting 401K audit and overseeing payroll process and reporting.
The perfect candidate for this role will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation, organizational skills with attention to detail. Additionally, we are looking for someone with exceptional problem-solving skills, task priority management, knowledge of employment law and regulations and proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management system.

Position Description
Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources Director Lead strategic human resources focusing on global talent management and alignment of policies with company and legislative requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Administer and maintain company policy information in accordance with legal requirements and company strategy. Coordinate yearly review, update and distribution of the QuestSpecialty Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assist department heads in management and creation of learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversee employee onboarding process and new employee training.
- Manage www.questspecialtyhr.com website including applications, job postings, company-wide schedule or shift changes, etc.
- Administer the company performance management process.
- Lead negotiations and manage medical, vision, dental and life insurance programs.
- Oversees employee disciplinary process, meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Manage and administer company 401(k) plan along with plan providers and third-party administration. Gather and submit data for annual 5500 report and year-end testing. Work with the annual 401K auditor and any documentation/census information needed to complete audit.
- Submit annual EEO-1 report and review and approve Affordable Care Act employee information to IRS and insurance companies (through ADP).
- Oversee administration of all payroll practices, submitting required reports to management and Finance.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
- A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Experience with a manufacturing company strongly preferred.
